Application Information
 
Pasquotank County is home to the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Early College, the district’s only high school School of Choice.  
 
Eligibility: 
 
•   Must be a resident of Pasquotank County; or fall under traditional public school exceptions 
•   Preferred that students apply during 8th grade year.  (Since our students complete the bulk of their high school core classes during their Freshman and Sophomore years, students attempting to transfer in will have to be assessed on a case by case basis for eligibility.)
 
Process:
 
•  Application - Students will complete the application online. 
•  Interviews - As part of the application process, the student is required to participate in the interview and their grown-ups can participate with their student.  Applicants will be contacted to schedule the interviews.  
•  Notification -  After all interviews are completed, all applicants are notified by mail as to the status of their application.

Middle School Visits: February 2026
School Applications:  Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are currently open and will remain through August 2026. 
ECP Early College Prospective Student Night: Thursday, March 26, 2026 | 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
